The Connection Collection
This art and wellbeing project was organised by Friends for Good as an opportunity to express creativity with a focus on friendship and connection.
People from all walks of life and any artistic skill-level were invited to submit works of art that highlight their experience of connection which culminated in a gallery opening in May 2021.
Using art as a vehicle for creating conversations around loneliness and disconnection is one key area of work for Friends for Good and this event was part of the organisations wider wellbeing program. The gallery was open to the public for an evening in May which also coincided with National Volunteer Week, an important opportunity to celebrate the contribution and passion of our numerous volunteers.
Thank-you to all those who submitted beautiful and inspiring works of art and also the attendees who came along and engaged with the space and the works.
