Good Health Together
Friends for Good, through offering support to diverse callers experiencing loneliness on FriendLine has identified the need for a more intensive service to be developed to offer longer term support for individuals.
In line with the current research into what works for people experiencing loneliness, a targeted and personalised approach was developed. Our exciting pilot initiative, the Good Health Together (GHT) program, offers short-term, individualised support for those experiencing loneliness. This involves 4-6 sessions with a Project Worker over the phone and is free to service-users.
The Project Worker will work collaboratively with the individual to explore their experiences of loneliness, assess potential causes and barriers to change as well as sources of support and strength that can be drawn upon.
