We need help from volunteers to talk with people in the community about loneliness, taking our survey out into Melbourne's streets and also to do fundraising.

Many studies have now found a link between loneliness and poorer health outcomes.

Here's what we are doing about it:

A national campaign to help learn more about loneliness.

Australia has very little longitudinal data about the prevalance or causes of loneliness for people in the community.

TimeWeTalked is a campaign to gather vital information about loneliness by asking people to answer an anonymous survey.

Over time, we will analyse the data collected and use it to help define services we can provide as an organisation.

Loneliness Awareness

An online campaign to provide a space for people to talk about loneliness.

With little known about loneliness and a stigma to overcome, Friends For Good aims to raise awareness of the causes and effects of loneliness in the community.

We have started the conversation on social media to identify loneliness as the enormous problem that it is.

Please join the conversation on our Facebook page or blog and discover ways to help yourself or others overcome loneliness.

Pastime Partners

A service to match seniors with volunteers to foster friendships.

We plan to start freeing people from loneliness by assisting seniors as they have told us and reports show they would like to have more contact with other people in the community.

Friends For Good will match seniors with volunteers and their time spent will depend on the interests of both the volunteer and the senior person.

We are currently in the initial stages of starting up this service. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please register your interest.
